I took the observation deck tickets, and it was quite decent to see the skyline. Recommend going during evening time to see the transition from day to night. When I visited there was a waiting for sky deck and after sometime it was closed due to rain and winds. A great way to spend the afternoon with the beautiful skyline of KL and so many delicious foods to try. It was worth the additional charge beyond just going to observation deck.
