And with an emphasis on fashion, it features some more traditional-looking fashion spreads among pictures and stories about Hong Kong, Portland, and Tokyo.

Alessandra attended college at the School of Visual Arts where she earned a bachelor’s degree in fine art, with a concentration in photography and video. She worked as a photo intern for several New York City-based companies like Kate Ryan Inc. and the XO Group Inc., where she conducted photo research for projects and edited images and videos for digital channels. Maya has been traveling since she was young, taking the TGV through France and riding on the back of a motorized scooter in New Delhi as a toddler. More recently, she’s copiloted a private jet, sailed on The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first ship, roasted agave to make mezcal in Oaxaca, Mexico, and ventured to Sweden’s Arctic Circle in the middle of winter.
